Attention all Relay for Life Team Captains:

There will be a bank night after school this Wednesday, May 1, in Mr. Boegman's room, E1A. 

 

Attention Seniors:  There will be a community college workshop at lunch on Friday, March 3rd in C-120.   Please attend this meeting if you plan to attend a community college this Fall.

 

Apply to Peer Resource. The Peer Resource application is now available athttps://tinyurl.com/PeerResource17-18​ If you are planning to apply, join us on Thursday, March 2nd at lunch in the FLEX room for a mandatory informational meeting. 

 

There are 38 qualifiers for the AIME, the list is posted in room C-5. Come by to see if you are on the list. AIME will be held in the library on March 7 from 8am to 11:30am. You will need to return to your afternoon classes. 

 

THE CHEMISTRY OLYMPIAD QUALIFIER TEST IS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 7, 2017 at 3:15 PM in Room C18. Contact Mrs. Kumar before school for registration. Sign-ups will start from February 28th(Tuesday) in room C18. Be sure to register no later than March 6th. Due to limited space, the first 40 students will be eligible to take the qualifier test. Only the top two students will be selected and notified for the 2017 National Chemistry Olympiad. Participants must be US Citizens or permanent residents.​

JUNIORS AND SENIORS:  Chadbourne Science camp counselors are needed. The camp runs April 4 through April 7. For a flyer about applying please see Mrs Vargas in the office.

The Chinese Placement Test for Mission San Jose High School will be Wednesday, March 1 in Room N1. Below please find the online registration link:

All MSJ students planning on taking an Advanced Placement Exam this May will be able to register online starting February 6th at 3 pm TODAY February 27th at 1 pm. The link and information will be available through School Loop News to current students and parents so please check your email for more details.

News from the Career Center:

Seniors: GPA verifications for Cal Grant have been uploaded by Fremont Unified to the California Student Aid Commission.   All you need do to apply for Cal Grant is file your FAFSA.  File by March 2nd!

Olive Hyde Art Guild Scholarship deadline is March 31st. 1st place:  $2,000, 2nd place $1,000

City of Fremont Job Fair: Thurs, Mar 9 from 5 PM – 7:30 PM at the Teen Center (Lake Eliz), 39770 Paseo Padre Parkway

Sophomore Career Units – Feb/Mar - Sophomores will spend three periods at the Career Center during their English classes in February/March to explore their strengths and career interests.  

Fremont Police Department is currently accepting applications for their teen Explorer Program. If you  are interested in learning more about becoming a Police Explorer or having a future career in law enforcement, please visit their web-page atwww.fremontpolice.org/explorers. Applications will be accepted through March 3, 2017. Supplemental application is available at the Career Center.
