Bilingual Immersion Education is a type of education designed to help students become fluent in two languages. Students in the Bilingual Immersion Program at Vallejo Mill learn the same level of material as required of all students in Fremont Unified School District except that initially they are taught in Spanish for most of the day. Students learn to read and write first in Spanish, with the gradual addition of English. English is taught daily. The program focuses on student interaction in both languages.
